Happy Friday!
This week I finished another block for the FWQL:
#8 - Bouquet: I utilized the foundation paper piecing templates from the FW Yahoo group. There's so much yellow in this one, it stands out a bit from the other blocks, but should balance out in the long-run once I've made more blocks in different colors.
I'm running out of room on my design wall ...
I'm "roughly" following the color scheme from the book, pulling out some pretty old scraps from my stash. Because I'm not using white or other solids in this quilt, the challenge is finding good background fabrics; the one used here is a new fabric from Denyse Schmidt's new line from Joanns.
Have a GREAT weekend.

I'm seeing so many posts about the quilt along that my interest has been piqued. I've put the book on my Amazon wishlist in hopes someone will get it for my birthday, next month!
I'm trying to hold out joining this but my resolve is weakening, especially after seeing pretty blocks like this.
Your blocks look great! I really like the yellow. Just add more in a couple other blocks and it will look right at home. : )
I like your fabrics and think they come together very well. You will have a great quilt when you have done all the blocks.
Love that bouquet block - such happy colours
